Home Care Assistants & Certified Care-Aides
Our Home Care Assistants and Certified Care-Aides support our clients in their goal of maintaining an independent and active lifestyle wherever they live; at home, in an aging-support community or in short-term or long-term care. Often clients are able to manage very well if they are provided with the right support. To that end, we help our clients with a wide variety of everyday activities so they can continue to live their life to its fullest. By working together with our clients and their family, we can develop an individually customized home care plan filled with routines and preferences for meals, eating times, hobbies, rest time and administrating medication just to name a few. Our staff is trained in Food Safe, First Aid, CPR, Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Many of our staff participate and are encouraged to participate in our continued education programs through our affiliation with Safe Care BC, and other health care community groups.
Live-In Care is defined to be a home care support situation where the Home Care Assistant or Care-Aide actually lives with the client for one or more 24 hour periods per week. The live-in Home Care Assistant or Care-Aide lives, sleeps and eats at the client residence for one or more consecutive 24 hour periods and must maintain separate living space such as a spare bedroom. By doing so, our clients can relax in the comfort of their own homes without their residences being disturbed. We typically assign a primary Home Care Assistant or Care-Aide who will provide care and home support four to five days a week, with a secondary reliever who covers the remaining days of the week. During this live-in care time, the Home Care Assistant or Care-Aide will not go home but remain with the client at all times except for the mandatory three-hour break provided. In cases that the client cannot be left alone during the break, a family member or secondary Home Care Assistant or Care-Aide will cover the break period.
Our live-in care services make it possible for aging individuals to remain in the comfort of their own home while receiving the attention and care they need. With 24/7 monitoring and personalized care plans, our dedicated live-in Home Care Assistants and Care-Aides are happy to maximize safety and improve the quality of life for their clients.
Your live-in Home Care Assistant or Care-Aide may provide companionship, personal care, home support, meal preparation, shopping, to and from appointments, medication management, meal planning and more, presenting an affordable alternative solution to residential care or assisted living.
Registered Nurses & Licensed Practical Nurses
Sometimes a family or professional Home Care Assistant or Certified Care-Aide just cannot meet the increasing medical needs of a loved one. Our on-staff Registered Nurses provide the level of care a loved one needs to stay safe in the comfort of their own home rather than in assisted living care or the hospital. This type of care provides one-on-one home health care to an individual with treatment and recovery being the primary focus. Our Registered Nurses provide a high level of care while working in tandem with the Home Care Assistant or Care-Aide who is providing home support, companionship or home support. Registered Nurses are available to assist our clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We can arrange regularly scheduled visits or on an as-needed basis. We work closely with the client’s doctors, physicians and family to provide extended support.
Our hourly, live-in and overnight rates are based on fair and competitive pay to compensate staff fairly for their education, training, and experience. We carry a flat-fee rate on our hourly, live-in and overnight services, but may vary depending on the level of care that is needed, the degree of difficulty, and the qualifications that will be required to provide the care.
Our minimum to start in-home care services is 3 hours per visit, twice per week. On special circumstances, we can accommodate fewer days and hours per visit. Please contact us directly for more information.
This helps to ensure the continuity of care for the client while creating an ongoing, happy, trusting and fruitful relationship with the Home Care Assistant or Care-Aide that will become your primary caregiver with no unexpected surprises about who is coming into your home. We typically assign a primary Certified Care-Aide or Home Care Assistant who will provide care and home support four to five days a week, with a secondary reliever who covers the remaining days of the week. Our staff is composed of experienced Home Care Assistants, Certified Care-Aides, Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and some are designated health professionals while some are newly trained home care assistants and care-aides. We match each client with the best individual for their specific qualities, traits, character, and experience. At the end of the day, this is a match to best fit your needs and wants.
Rates often depend on the specific and unique needs of you or a loved one. This includes the number of hours, number of days during the week, the difficulty and level of care, and the physical requirements. Some individuals might require only 3 hours of assistance twice or more times per month, but others might need around-the-clock assistance for an extended period of time.
We realize that even though we strive to provide very competitive rates in our sector, private home care can quickly become an expensive discussion. That is why we will work with you step-by-step, to develop a care plan that delivers the best and most affordable care you won’t find with another agency. Real care equals real value, and we are all about creating value for our clients.
Home Care in most cases is the more affordable alternative to assisted living or residential homes. We will discuss your options during our complimentary in-home assessment and together, we will develop a care plan that fits your unique needs and budget. You may also be eligible for care coverage or subsidy. Please ask us for more information.
A full quote is available after a complete and thorough assessment of a care plan, which includes a risk and safety assessment.
